*THE MERCY OF GOD*
*2 Samuel 24:14 – And David said to Gad, “I am in great distress. Please let us fall into the hand of the Lord, for His mercies are great; but do not let me fall into the hand of man.”*

*MESSAGE*
In today’s scripture, David was in trouble because of his actions. But instead of turning to people, he chose to rely on God’s mercy. David knew that people can be harsh and unforgiving, but God’s mercy is great and never ends (Psalm 136:1). God punishes with love and shows kindness even when we don’t deserve it.

David knew it was better to be in the hand of God than to face the harsh judgment of men. People can be unforgiving, but God is merciful and gracious. *Psalm 103:8 reminds us: “The Lord is merciful and gracious, Slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.”* We also see this in the story of Jonah and the people of Nineveh (Jonah 3:1-10). They had done many bad things, but when they turned to God and said sorry, He showed them mercy and didn’t destroy ttheir city. This shows us that no matter what we’ve done, God is ready to show us His Mercy when we come to Him. He said in His word in *Romans 9:15, “I will have mercy on whomever I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whomever I will have compassion.”*

Beloved, when you feel like you’ve made mistakes and don’t know what to do, turn to God and ask for His mercy. His Mercy is bigger than any problem. Trust Him to forgive and see you through because He loves you deeply.
May the Lord bless and also give you the understanding of His word today in Jesus Name. Stay safe
