*GOD DOES NOT CONDONE SIN*
*2 Samuel 24:15 – So the Lord sent a plague upon Israel from the morning till the appointed time. From Dan to Beersheba seventy thousand men of the people died.*

*MESSAGE*
God frown at every form of sin and disobedience no matter who is involved. Acts 10:34 “Then Peter opened mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons”
Today’s scripture shows how seriously God deals with sin. Because of David’s disobedience in counting the people, a plague came upon Israel, and seventy thousand people died. This reminds us that God is holy and cannot overlook sin. Even when He forgives, there are often consequences to our actions.

We see another example in the story of Achan (Joshua 7:1-26). When Achan disobeyed God by taking what was forbidden, it brought trouble to all of Israel. His sin was not ignored, and the consequences were severe. These examples teach us that sin has consequences, and God, being just, cannot condone it.

Beloved, God loves us, but He wants us to live in obedience to His Word. God will never lower His standards to suit our own standards. Sin separates us from God and it brings pain. Let us strive to live right and turn away from anything that displeases God in order not to attract God’s anger and judgement.
