*GOD HEARS YOUR CRY*
*2 Samuel 22:5-7 – “When the waves of death surrounded me, The floods of ungodliness made me afraid. The sorrows of Sheol surrounded me; The snares of death confronted me. In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried out to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, And my cry entered His ears.”*
*MESSAGE* :
In today’s scripture, David described a time of great fear and danger when it seemed like death and destruction were closing in on him. Yet, in the midst of his distress, he did not remain silent. He cried out to God, and God heard him. This is a reminder that no matter how overwhelming life’s challenges may feel, God is always ready to listen when we call on Him.
Sometimes, the storms of life may make us feel like there is no way out, but *Psalm 34:17 assures us, “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.”* God is attentive to the cries of His children, and He responds with love, comfort, and deliverance. The story of the disciples in Matthew 14:24-33 illustrates this perfectly. When the wind and waves became fierce, and they were in danger, they called out to Jesus. He immediately came to their rescue, calming the storm and bringing peace. Like the disciples, when life feels overwhelming and the storms are raging, calling upon the Lord is the best response.
When you face difficulties, don’t let fear or despair silence you. Cry out to God with faith, knowing He hears and cares for you. Trust Him to come through for you, no matter how dire the situation may seem. God is your refuge in times of trouble.
May the Lord bless everyone reading today’s devotional with the understanding of His word in Jesus Name.
