A HEART OF GRATITUDE
*_2 Samuel 22:1-3 – “Then David spoke to the Lord the words of this song, on the day when the Lord had delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. And he said: ‘The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; The God of my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, My stronghold and my refuge; My Savior, You save me from violence.’”_*

David had faced many battles and enemies, but each time, God delivered him. In response, David poured out his heart in gratitude, acknowledging God as His rock, fortress, and Savior. This shows us the importance of recognizing God’s hand in our victories and taking time to thank Him for His faithfulness.

A heart of gratitude keeps us humble and reminds us that we are not self-sufficient. It is God who gives us strength, protects us, and sees us through life’s challenges. *Psalm 103:2 says, “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.”* Gratitude opens the door to more blessings and strengthens our relationship with God.

Today, take time to reflect on the many ways God has helped and protected you. Cultivate a heart of gratitude, not just for the big victories but even for the little things. Thank Him daily for being your refuge and strength, and let your life be a song of praise to Him.
